• Approval of Minutes from June 6, 2018 SSC Meeting

• Voting-Amendment to Minutes from June 6, 2018 meeting should read June 5, 2018. (Date correction) Minutes will be translated into Spanish.
• Robert Vera called for a motion to approve minutes with the aforementioned amendment. Valerie Sevilla 2nd the motion. Motion approved;

• Informational - Mr. Vera called to introduction the new SSC members

• Review 2018-2019 SSC Bylaws, Parent & Family Engagement Policy, and School Parent Compact

• Informational: Derek Murchison, Principal (Presented by Robert Vera, Vice Principal)

• Informational- The SSC Binder is kept in Mr. Murchison's office. The Bylaws we distributed and received are living documents, bring to every meeting, will vote only if a change is required. They are written in English and Spanish.
• Agendas for SSC meetings will be sent 72 hours prior to the meeting for SSC review.
• Parent & Family Engagement Policy, and School Parent Compact must be sent by Oct.26, 2018. Parents will give input during “Coffee with the Principal” and ELAC meetings. Once all input and revisions are complete, parents will receive a copy no later than October 26.

• Review 2018-2019 Budget

• Informational - Charts indicating the monetary allocations for this year's budget are posted in Room 6. We discussed the approval of funds by category and the rationale for money funded. (To who, what and why)

• Informational - Ms. Williams explained that meetings are once a month in the Ballard Center. She indicated that there is a major change to policy. She will give the office the information sheets to make copies. She explained that not all schools receive funds for parent involvement activities and therefore want to remove the guidelines.
• All SSC info is on the website.
• This year there is a Title 1 Student Center Coaching Cycle. The focus is ELA, Math (elementary) and African-American students
• Third grade participating in Critical Concepts
• Bylaws are due Oct. 26, some trainings are available.
• Informational - 62 students were reclassified last year. ELPAC: 61 students tested by Oct. 4. We have 51 potential candidates for reclassification this year.
• Informational- Marlene Gutierrez, new SSC chair; Co-chair Mrs. Houck

• Votando-Enmienda de minutos de la junta de 6 de Junio, 2018 deveria decir 5 de Junio, 2018. (Correccίon de fecha) Los minutos seran traducidos en español.
• Robert Vera Convocó la moción de aprobar actas con la enmienda mencionada.

• Informativo - Sr. Vera convocó la introducción de las nuevas miembras de SSC.

• Informativo- La carpeta de SSC permanecera en la oficina del Sr. Murchison. Los estatutos que distribuimos y fueron recividos son documentos activos, traiganlos a cada junta, se votara solo si se require algun cambio. Seran escritos en Ingles y Español.
• La agenda de las juntas de SSC se mandaran 72 horas antes de la junta para revicίon.
• La polisa de compromiso para Padres y Familias y el acuerdo entre padres de la escuela deve ser recivido para el 26 de Octubre, 2018. Los Padres daran su opinion durante “Café con el Director” y en las juntas de ELAC. Ya que todas las opinions esten completes y revisadas, los padres reciviran una copia antes del 26 de Octubre.

• Informativo - Srita. Williams explico que las juntas son cada mes en el Centro de Ballard. Ella indico que hay un cambio de Pólisa mayor. Ella les va a dar una copia a la oficina para que hagan copias. Ella indico que no todas las escuela reciben fondos para actividades donde los padres estan involucrados y por eso quiere quitar las pautas.
• Toda la informacion de SSC esta en el website.
• Este año tendremos Titulo 1 Ciclo de entrenamiento del Centro de Estudiantes. El enfoque es ELA, Matematicas (Primaria) y estudiantes Afro-Americanos.
• 3er g rado esta participando en conceptos criticos.
• Estatutos deven ser entregados para el 6 de Octubre, algunos entrenamietos son disponibles.
• Informativo - 62 studiantes fueron reclasificados el año pasado. ELPAC: 61 estudiantes tomaron la prueva antes de Oct. 4. Tenemos 51 candidatos potenciales para reclasificarlos este año..
